Following a competitive tendered process, we were fortunate to be awarded Daniel Thwaites flagship hotel refurbishment on the banks of Lake Windermere. The multi-million pound refurbishment lasted a little over 12 months but saw the extremely tired almost unloved buildings be bought back to life with an impeccable design to encapsulate the original splendour of the estate and its surrounding. Every element was fully refurbished with new modern sections added to the restaurant and conservatory along with extending the Boat House and fully refurbishing the Lake House accommodation. All received complete new M&E installation, replacement crittle style windows, structural repairs and cleaning. Reconfiguring of layouts to form new bedrooms, suites and bathrooms along with public area amenities, restaurant and bar. All receiving careful adaptions to the existing features, keeping the building true to its original architectural beauty.
Formation of new car parking and landscape gardens all completed the project to what now is surely a number one destination to stay within the lakes.
